Welcome to the official studio of Buda Jang (BUDAJANG) — Football Brand Designer and Vision Director.

Philosophy The Future Is Now.

'미래는 지금이다(The Future Is Now).'

그 광고 카피가 바로 '미래는 지금이다(The Future Is Now)'입니다.

The scene from Simon Wells’ 2002 film The Time Machine,
where the protagonist Alexander Hartdegen (Guy Pearce)
encounters the advertising copy 'The Future Is Now'
on a street billboard in the year 2030.

"The Future Is Now." This phrase has long been my guiding ethos and catchphrase.

I first encountered it in the 2002 film adaptation of H.G. Wells’ classic science fiction novel, The Time Machine.
Directed by Simon Wells—the great-grandson of the original author—this remake of the 1960 classic captivated me,
particularly with the romantic narrative it wove into the story.

Among its many memorable moments, one scene left a truly profound impression:
when the protagonist, Alexander, briefly halts his time machine on the 24th of May, 2030, and discovers a colossal billboard in the city centre.
The advertising copy upon it read: "The Future Is Now." It resonates deeply with the sentiment that the future belongs to those who dream.
From that moment on, this intuitive phrase became an invaluable compass for me.

My journey within the football industry began in 1996 whilst organising the AC Milan and Juventus invitational matches,
and it deepened immensely through the experience of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan™.

Beginning with the emblem design for Daejeon Citizen in 2000, I dedicated myself to crafting the visual identities—emblems, CI/BI, and merchandise—
for football clubs, each possessing its own distinct heritage. This soon expanded into the broader realm of strategic marketing:
architecting future business initiatives, drafting master plans, and forging vital partnerships.

Through all these endeavours, I learned a fundamental truth: shaping the 'future' must always be the work of 'now'.

Whilst an absolute, finished state of perfection may be unattainable—perhaps even impossible—the process of rectifying issues,
presenting viable alternatives, and mitigating the uncertainties of tomorrow relies entirely upon the concrete actions we take in this exact moment.

This proposition has remained unwavering. It was true in 1996 when my connection to football first sparked;
in 1999, when I designed the "Chiwoo Cheonwang" emblem for the Red Devils; in 2000, when I crafted my first K League crest for Daejeon Citizen;
and it remains true today, three decades later. "Commit to the utmost; the future is always this very moment." This is my enduring philosophy.

Many years have passed since those early days. Looking back upon a long body of work, I came to the profound realisation that
gathering these gently fading memories and vanishing traces to curate a modest, museum-like space is, in itself,
an action of the 'now' directed towards the 'future'. It is with this conviction that I have, albeit belatedly, brought this website to life.

I extend my sincerest gratitude to you for visiting. Should you envision any shared endeavours we might undertake for the advancement of Korean football,
please do not hesitate to reach out. It would be my utmost pleasure to connect with you.
